A trip to Capdepera Castle is a fun outing for both kids and adults, though the uphill walk can be challenging in the heat.

Just a few kilometres further from Capdepera lies Artá, the largest town on the east side of Mallorca. Despite growing tourism, it retains a traditional and low-key vibe. The Santuari de Sant Salvador, a fortified church dating back to the 14th century (though much of it was renovated in the 19th century), is one of Artá’s main attractions. The town’s rich historical past makes for a great day of sightseeing.
