The journey might not be ideal for those prone to car sickness. Make sure to pause along the way to soak in the stunning scenery and fresh air. It’s advisable to start early to avoid the summer crowds of cars, buses, and cyclists. Parking is not an issue, thanks to a large, free car park.

Alternatively, Cala Tuent can be reached by boat, although it’s not the best place to anchor due to the sand and depth. Daily ferry boats operate from Port de Sóller, and the trip takes about an hour. Be sure to check the schedules before setting off. The beach is a popular destination for cyclists and hikers, thanks to the excellent trails and roads.

Please note, there is no lifeguard on duty, and wheelchair access is limited due to the lack of a paved walkway from the car park to the beach.

Cala Tuent doesn’t house any beach bars or restaurants. It’s recommended to pack a picnic lunch with plenty of water. Alternatively, you can venture over to Cala Sa Calobra to dine at one of the restaurants there.

Accommodation Near Cala Tuent: A Blend of Luxury and Simplicity

For accommodation, you’ll need to drive up the winding road towards the quaint village of Escorca. Here, you’ll find options for luxury holiday villa rentals and a few small, family-run hotels. You can also consider staying at the Lluc Monastery, where the accommodation is basic but clean, and there are on-site restaurants, which is a bonus given the limited dining options nearby. For more accommodation choices, you might want to explore further afield in Sóller, Port Sóller, or Pollensa, where you’ll find charming, rural finca hotels and budget-friendly options.

Exploring Around Cala Tuent: A Blend of Nature and Culture

Nearby, you’ll find the small village of Sa Calobra, although it doesn’t offer much beyond a couple of restaurants. A little further afield, about a 1 to 1.5-hour drive, you’ll find Pollensa and Port de Pollensa to the north, and Sóller and Port de Sóller to the south. These charming towns are worth a visit or could serve as a base for exploring the surrounding areas. Sóller and Pollensa are traditional towns with central plazas surrounded by shops and restaurants, while the two port towns boast lively beaches with boardwalks lined with restaurants, shops, and cafes.

If you’re visiting Cala Tuent by car, consider stopping by the Lluc Monastery, a pilgrimage site in Escorca, dedicated to the Virgin Mary in the 13th century. This historical site, set in a beautiful location, is worth a visit.

In this part of the island, you’re surrounded by the Serra de Tramuntana mountains. There are plenty of trails near the beach and its surroundings if you’re up for a hike or bike ride.
